Jacob Cho training a youth student in Laguna Beach (more pics below and in our Media section).Mr. Cho has a lifetime of martial arts experience. He was trained by his father, Grandmaster Hee Il Cho, a living martial arts legend. As a young practitioner, Mr. Cho competed regularly to test and hone his skills. He has trained with and taught some of the worlds most talented martial artists. He remains dedicated to his own training and now has over 20 years of teaching experience. He is an expert and very passionate about passing on the tradition, spirit and skills of true Tae Kwon Do. Mr. Cho brings expertise, energy and integrity to the classroom.
His philosophy is that the martial arts is not a hobby nor a trend... the martial arts is a way of life. Respect, loyalty, integrity, perseverance, hard work, accepting challenges and ultimately achieving goals is what the martial arts is about. It is where flexibility of the body and mind can be developed. True martial arts offer a balance, teaching effective self-defense skills and important life skills. Clarity and peace of mind can be found with consistent practice. Everyone has the potential to realize these benefits.
Mr. Cho's hunger to learn continues; studying martial arts and training as much as he teaches. In addition to his martial arts studies, Mr. Cho also works closely with Dana Sara, practicing various styles of Yoga to help better his physical flexibility, correct and heal long-standing injuries and to overall be healthier in mind and body.
