"I wanted my son to further develop his maturity, ability to focus and respect level in a fun & safe environment. Our expectations were definitely exceeded as Mr. Cho called the students to class each session with the clap of his hands. Watching the students fall in line and give their full attention to Mr. Cho, I knew he was in good hands.

Nick is given the opportunity to work hard physically while getting the message along the way that respect, good grades and diplomacy are the keys to a successful future."

Mr. Cho speaking to our youth class about focus, respect and hard workThis section applies to children 5+. Lil' Panthers section applies to children under 5.

Our Youth Tae Kwon Do program comes from the collective experience and teachings of over 60+ years (father, Grandmaster Hee Il Cho and son, Jacob Cho). Mr. Cho teaches every class and began his own martial arts journey by attending his father's children’s classes over 30 years ago.

Mr. Cho is committed to providing his children students with the tools and abilities to succeed in life, and to have a positive impact on society. An equal balance of focus is placed on developing children's physical skills, and the bar is set high, as we firmly believe that everyone should strive to be the absolute best they can be. Unlike many schools today, classes are still conducted in a traditional manner. Children have fun, but at the same time are challenged to work hard, persevere and ultimately achieve goals. Tae Kwon Do is a metaphor for life.

Our program provides a structured, disciplined, positive and healthy environment that helps children get a strong start on life. Young children begin to develop habits everyday. Let us help yours to develop the right ones.

  1. Respect -- martial arts begins and ends with respect; self-respect, respect for others and respect for nature
  2. Self-Discipline -- we teach children to manage their own conduct so
as to make the best decisions possible
  3. Self-Confidence -- we use challenge and positive reinforcement to
    build self-confidence
  4. Focus & Concentration -- we use drills to develop focus,
    concentration/attention levels and listening skills
  5. Modesty -- we as martial artists are humble and provide an environment
    free of conceit and vanity
  6. Integrity -- we constantly reinforce the necessity and value of
recognizing and honoring what is right
  7. Good Manners -- we emphasize the importance of understanding
    and using good behavior
  8. Hard Work & Determination -- we teach children the high value
of hard work and to be committed
  9. Perseverance & Non-Quitting Spirit -- we reinforce never giving up
when it is for the right thing
  10. Responsibility -- we have children take responsibility for their
    own actions
  11. Goal-Setting -- we use several methods to develop and reinforce
    the practice of setting goals
  12. Leadership Skills  -- we develop leaders by giving them leadership
    roles and mentoring this role/process
  13. Academics -- the aforementioned will collectively cultivate
    higher academic success
  14. Good Fitness  -- we communicate the importance of living a healthy
    life and respecting the body
  15. Self-Defense Skills  -- we teach practical techniques of self-defense
and enforce repetition and practice so that these skills become second-nature
  16. Physical Benefits  -- increased strength, flexibility, coordination, balance,
speed, endurance, control, body awareness, breathing abilities, weight control & overall physical fitness
  17. A Competitive Outlet -- Tae Kwon Do offers many organized competition types (sparring, breaking, hyung/forms) for all ages and skill levels (beginner to olympians)
  18. Complementary to Sports -- Tae Kwon Do will complement and enhance
performance of all other practiced sports

We believe strongly in the value of all that is mentioned above and always lead by example. We help to provide children the self-confidence and discipline to say no to negative peer pressure and social programming; the self respect to want to say no to these negative influences; the responsibility to take ownership of their actions and to learn from mistakes; the strength, respect and confidence to stand tall and do the right thing; the tools and attitude needed to achieve their goals; and ways to live a happy healthy life!
